Our Impact and Key Projects

Since 2018, Jenga Dada Initiative (EmpowerHer Foundation) has worked to uplift vulnerable women and girls. Grounded in the Sustainable Development Goals, our grassroots programs champion gender equality, education, economic independence, and climate resilience across communities.

Keeping girls in school and youth mentorship

Through school outreach and holistic mentorship programs, we have reached over 30,000 primary school girls in more than 20 schools. By distributing essential sanitary supplies and providing dedicated guidance, we break attendance barriers and build confidence. As one student shared: "We are grateful for keeping us in school and showing us a good example that we can also be like you."

Smart agribusiness and climate change action

Our climate-smart agriculture initiatives equip women with sustainable farming practices, food security tools, and kitchen gardening strategies. Over 2,000 women have gained practical skills to manage changing climates and sustain their families. As an empowered participant from Kendu Bay noted: "We can now keep a kitchen garden and even sell extra food from our gardens to earn some money."

Women economic empowerment and young mother support

We have trained more than 10,000 women in financial literacy, community savings and loans, customer service, and micro-enterprise development. Additionally, we have mentored over 3,000 young mothers with targeted economic tools and reproductive health education (SRHR), fostering dignified livelihoods and lasting self-reliance.
